199. Slanted and Enchanted by Pavement (1993)

Once upon a midnight dreary, we recorded the best podcast about Pavement and the 199th greatest album of all time, Slanted and Enchanted. Quoth our downloaders "Nevermore".

Then at (50:00) we break down Pavement's debut studio album Slanted and Enchanted. We discuss Pavement's performance at Lollapalooza, indie bands, and lo-fi music.

Anniversary Special: Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys

Folks. 

 

Paul's Botique came out 35 years ago so I wanted to celebrate this anniversary by giving all we can give. And all we can give is an old episode that we released. 

 

However, I listened to it and it was a pretty good ep. Matt makes a great list, big Humpty Dumpty makes a stride forward and Aaron begs for a free gift.

200. Diamond Life by Sade (1984)

Some say that comparison is the thief of joy, but we still think this is the best podcast about Sade and the 200th greatest album of all time, Diamond Life. And what better way to celebrate this album, than posting this podcast 40 years and 7 days after its original release!

 

But before we get to the music we jump on a big swing and discuss the best fictional basketball players of all time. Then we chat about glazing mugs at family camp, hidden tracks on the Miseducation of Lauren Hill, and snoring treatments. Fixing my Mistake! Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (1998)

We all make mistakes. 

 

Some of us don't edit the podcast on time and then decide (way too late) to release an episode we talked about on the podcast tomorrow.

Then some of us confuse the Lauryn Hill album with the Fugees album. 

 

So here is the Lauryn Hill album that Apple music says is the number one album of all time but there is a little controversy regarding the last few songs! And we talk about Bob Newhart on this one for sure. 

 

We will get back on track tomorrow. 

Re-Release! The Score by the Fugees (1996)

Hey folks. I wasn't able to get an episode done this week. Why? It's not important. You want to know? Ok. I am at the cabin but I normally use my dad's computer when I am here but he wasn't here. No big deal? I have my wifes computer. I record on it but there is no GARAGE BAND so I was not able to edit it until my dad came up. I am 44 years old. 

 

This is the episode on the Fugees. Apple music just declared this album as the number one album all time but when we release Sade on Tuesday, we talk about how there is a little discrepency with what songs are included on the album. 

 

We also talk abot Bob Newhart who just passed away. Sorry about no episode this week but we made it 200 weeks before that.
