Oasis: (What’s the Story) Morning Glory (1995)

Today we become the best podcast about Oasis and maybe the best podcast about the album (What's the Story) Morning Glory. Due to Aaron, we are rushing through this one because he is the Boss! Be sure to listen to the last segment today (it's our best one!)

 

We talk about why we went to St. Olaf and how Aaron's life dreams were crushed already in his sophomore year while Russ really is happy the Vikes got Randy Moss. Aaron perverts our idea of a nice day, and we talk about the history of pantyhose. We celebrate Russell's birthday month, and we have to make fun of Aaron (don't worry, he likes it.)

Aaron hates the violins and Russell realizes some harsh truths about the Verve and the Verve Pipe while we discuss one of the biggest and loudest bands of the 90's. We explain what Brit pop is and why Wonderwall is the perfect British Soccer song while we hurt Aaron's feeling about talk about the most explosive Choruses ever!

Folks, today we look at a band that started with a janitor crawling into a basement window, the Minneapolis-based band The Replacements! We become the best Replacements podcast as we talk about the band's rise, their turn from punk, and why they just couldn't let themselves be successful (it's rule 7)

 

We have on Replacements Guy and he goes full method as he explains how hard it would be for a band to do what they need to do when absolutely hammered. 

 

Rob does a classic airport security bit, Aaron's job is truly a hellscape come to life and Matt's kids are getting their education at the ND school of hard knocks. The voicemail is so wild we don't even know where to start and Russ is a cruiserweight champion of an uncle.

Welcome to Sunday morning on Beck Did it Better where Kohl's resort is sponsoring us to be the best Aretha Franklin podcast when we talk about her best-selling album ever with "Amazing Grace." 

We talk about the heat (unless you live with Russell), one of us is letting feral cats in the house, how we sign emails, and we get bummed out by our achievement days. Russ is truly a great uncle, Brian gets sucked into Aaron's quest to find food at the ballpark and we talk a lot about Brian.
