Tuesday Sep 20, 2022
This week's episode is more than meets the eye when we become the best podcast about Lou Reed and the 109th greatest album of all time, Transformer. Seriously this episode is really good...somewhere.
But before we talk about the album, the first half of this podcast is a real vibe check when we discuss the new Roc Marciano album, electric toothbrushes, and why squirrels are splooting. We also take a wine flight tonight and discuss the best wineries in Minnesota. We don't tell you what tannins are but we make sure you know you can't go across the water unless you have power.
Then at (46:00) we just keep you hanging on when we talk about Lou Reed's second solo studio album, Transformer. These four blokes discuss Lou Reed's distinct voice, David Bowie and Mick Ronson's influence on this album, and the best songs featuring the recorder. We also become the best royal family podcast when we celebrate British musicians and their connections with the crown.

Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
We know we're the mess that you don't want to clean up, but we promise it's only kisses on the cheek from here on out this episode when we become the best podcast about Fiona Apple and the 108th greatest album of all time When the Pawn...
But before we get to the album we find something sweet and enjoyable and totally ruin it when we discuss fig-flavored desserts, ballpark nachos, and realizing that you are in fact...inside-out shirt guy. We also talk about dating someone younger than you (Leo style), rules for watching TV shows with your spouse, and Pageant of the Masters performance art.
Then at (52:00) we're serving up a savory pie of discussion about Fiona Apple and her second studio album, When the Pawn. We talk about Fionna's percussive rhythms, her ability to play with a phrase, and the best Jon Brion songs.

107. Television: Marquee Moon (1977)
Tuesday Sep 06, 2022
Tuesday Sep 06, 2022
Quality is our motto this week when we become the best podcast about Television and James Bond's upstairs neighbor, the 107th greatest album of all time, Marquee Moon.
But before we get to the album, we're talking about the songs that were hits on our 21st birthday and the discussion gets quite hot. Then we discuss custom cowboy hats, vanity license plates, and professional cornhole players. We also are proud to release our merch store [NOTE FROM ROB] (the merch store has been shut down by the website.... I'll let you know when it is back up) where you can buy all the new Beck Did it Better Swag. We are officially a cash cow.
Then at (1:00:00) we break out our ass-less chaps and share our thoughts on Television and their debut studio album, Marquee Moon. We discuss the Mixolydian mode (which Aaron mocks), french poetry (which Matt confuses with a Stallone franchise), and the best bands to come out of the CBGB club in New York City (which Russ had never heard of).
Next week you can either deal it out or deal with all that we lay down when we become the best Fiona Apple podcast and talk about her alternative rock album When the Pawn...

Expect the unexpected in the kingdom of the madness this week when we become the best podcast about Hole as we discuss the 106th greatest album of all time, Live Through This. Truly a delightful but morbid surprise.
But before we talk about the whole album, we invite former WWF Champion Randy Macho Man Savage onto the pod to talk about the best baseball closer songs ever, and Bonesaw is ready. Then we discuss how much tuna should go on a tuna melt, being the last person on a flight, and the merits of crustless pizza. We're also testing our might when we chat about the best arcade games ever.
Then at (56:00) we get Kurt Loder's thoughts on Hole's alternative rock album, Live Through This. We discuss Nirvana's influence on Hole, the Courtney Love controversy, and the best Riot grrrl movement songs. The Sphinx also gives a riddle for you.
