We are now the best Steely Dan podcast! And the best podcast about Aja!
What if a band is really just two guys and a cast of rotating players? What if the two dudes were perfectionists and what if they didn't stop until they got exactly the sound they wanted? It is no surprise that the music on Aja sounds like it is made by AI yet at the same time is funky, deep, and new on every listen. It is a lot like this podcast but if we were talented or put time into it!
We dive into a deep mailbag segment and Magic Mike 69 blows our minds a few times. Aaron boos people (rude), Rob boos people with scary music (funny and cool), and we have a candyman moment.
Russ teaches us about yet another instrument and Rob goes to the apple orchard while Matt is blasting music at the office while Aaron wants to drink on the job. Normal stuff from normal guys.

We are talking Axl, Slash, Izzy, Steven(?) and Duff and how they wrote most of their songs while drinking in various places and how much these songs rock!
Aaron tells a long story about frittatas, matt is talking dinners, and Rob and Russ take it to the bathroom. Russ makes an all time drink and we talk the best opening guitar riffs of all time. This album is a banger and this episode turned out ok so what else can you ask for.

Listen to our shock as Brown Eyed Girl is NOT on this album and it still blows our mind with how good it is. This is one of the few albums that could be top 10 but we are lucky enough to get to it this week.
Aaron gets existentially sad this week over something, Matt is partying like it is 1999, and our instrument expert Russ goes to a concert and audibly asks if he needs to clap for a bad song. Rob gets advice for going to bed late and talks about some physical therapy adventures.
Russ breaks out another top 5 instrument list and we get the pleasure of talking Van Morrison and his revenge album before this one. This is a legit banger of an episode.
