Tuesday Nov 23, 2021
Folks, this week we become the best podcast about Jay-Z when we cover his first album, Reasonable Doubt. We talk about the history of Jay-Z, what Jay-Z does on vacation, and of course, we are talking long-lost Iowa sports.
Aaron talks about his day at work while at the children's museum, Matt's on a bender at a casino that has a Subway, Rob is getting to know some strength athletes, and Russ talks all things Thanksgiving.
Then we get inot Jay-Z's first album and listen to the flows and the beats and compare it to Nas and other records this set the template for and then of course we talk GRAVEDIGGER!

Tuesday Nov 16, 2021
Tuesday Nov 16, 2021
Sorry for the late release. We were testing how many people cared and the results were a real bummer! On another note, I don't think the band survivor would be as popular without the song, "Eye of the Tiger."
Today we become another great Jazz Podcast when we become the best Love Supreme podcast! We are talking jazz, the influence of John Coltrane, and whether or not paying your credit card bill after getting tricked into drinking too much is wrong or actually a super genius move.
We talk about the problems with being a parent, we talk about the greatest LOW intros and we get in a time machine with Russell!

NEXT WEEK: NEXT WEEK! We strike it rich with Roc-A-Fella records and become the Best Jay-Z podcast when we become a Reasonable Doubt Podcast.

Tuesday Nov 09, 2021
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE listen to us talk about one of the greatest live albums of all time. We talk James Brown breaking out at the Apollo and giving the USA a taste of what a stage show could be!
We also learn what a concert SHOULDN'T be with one of Russell's best(?) dates ever! We get nice emails, talk meeting father in-laws. Aaron talks samurai swimming, Matt and Russ went to the same concert but had very different experiences.
Then we become the best James Brown podcast and the best Live at the Apollo podcast when we get into the music and instantly fall in love with The Hardest Working Man in Show Business. Russ also busts out one of the best lists of all time.
Contact us at beckdiditbetter@gmail.com and call or text 218-341-BECK. You can also follow us @beckdiditbetter on Instagram and Twitter but there is not much going on there.

64. OutKast: Stankonia (2000)
Tuesday Nov 02, 2021
Tuesday Nov 02, 2021
What better for the week after Halloween than an album released on October 31st, 2000? We are cruising in the ATL and talking about Stankonia on this podcast. We are talking about being so fresh and so clean and Ms. Jackson while also delving into our Gasoline Dreams. Folks, this album is good! We are the best Outkast podcast!
Before we start talking to Cookie, we go over underwear for men, where to sit for a concert, service fees, and the wonderful world of mini doughnuts. We also talk Aaron driving monster trucks and wearing orthotic shoes.
Russ also drops knowledge on us about another instrument and Russell falls behind in the count with the pitcher.

63. Steely Dan: Aja (1977)
Tuesday Oct 26, 2021
Tuesday Oct 26, 2021
We are now the best Steely Dan podcast! And the best podcast about Aja!
What if a band is really just two guys and a cast of rotating players? What if the two dudes were perfectionists and what if they didn't stop until they got exactly the sound they wanted? It is no surprise that the music on Aja sounds like it is made by AI yet at the same time is funky, deep, and new on every listen. It is a lot like this podcast but if we were talented or put time into it!
We dive into a deep mailbag segment and Magic Mike 69 blows our minds a few times. Aaron boos people (rude), Rob boos people with scary music (funny and cool), and we have a candyman moment.
Russ teaches us about yet another instrument and Rob goes to the apple orchard while Matt is blasting music at the office while Aaron wants to drink on the job. Normal stuff from normal guys.
