We all make mistakes. 

 

Some of us don't edit the podcast on time and then decide (way too late) to release an episode we talked about on the podcast tomorrow.

Then some of us confuse the Lauryn Hill album with the Fugees album. 

 

So here is the Lauryn Hill album that Apple music says is the number one album of all time but there is a little controversy regarding the last few songs! And we talk about Bob Newhart on this one for sure.

Re-Release! The Score by the Fugees (1996)

Hey folks. I wasn't able to get an episode done this week. Why? It's not important. You want to know? Ok. I am at the cabin but I normally use my dad's computer when I am here but he wasn't here. No big deal? I have my wifes computer. I record on it but there is no GARAGE BAND so I was not able to edit it until my dad came up. I am 44 years old. 

 

This is the episode on the Fugees. Apple music just declared this album as the number one album all time but when we release Sade on Tuesday, we talk about how there is a little discrepency with what songs are included on the album. 

 

We also talk abot Bob Newhart who just passed away. Sorry about no episode this week but we made it 200 weeks before that. 

 

 

198. The B-52's by the B-52's. (1979)

These podcast episodes are like our children; we'll never admit which one we like more. But for all you Venmo cheapos that cashed at the loser table, we'll admit that this is the best podcast about the B-52s and their self-titled album. 

 

But before we get to the music, we prove that we're not completely tone-deaf and hold the final four for the best DVD tournament. Fuck you, Jobu, we'll do it ourselves. We also talk golf, tipping on a gift card, and explore life's possibilities like we are skinny and jacked!

 

Then at (51:00) we cover one of the first albums you could have been conceived to, the B-52's. We discuss new-wave rock, the isolated vocals from Love Shack, and Fred Schneider's famous character on SNL, the Fredmeister. Freeeeeddddd. The Fredmeister. Fredalama. Freedddddddd making top 500 albums and making copies. Fredaroooonie! Fredalamdingdoing. It's called the Moon. Moonorama!! But eventually, we must say Aloha to this bit.

 

We know it's summer, babe, but next week will be a flame throwa when we become the best Pavement podcast and discuss the indie rock album Slanted and Enchanted.

 

197. Meet the Beatles! by The Beatles (1964)

This episode might be a fever dream, or it might actually be the best podcast about the Beatles and the 197th greatest album of all time, Meet the Beatles.

 

In preparation for the album, we reveal which Beatles member wrote most of the band's hits or some derivative of that question. Then we talk about apricot mallow plants, the proper way to eat a chicken wing, and Hulk Hogan's Real American Beer...brother! We also pulled a Home Alone at the baseball game and took the podium as the best Olympics podcast by discussing Olympic costumes.

 

Reeee-LAX, it won't be long until (53:00) minutes into this episode when we let Beatlemania run wild on you and Meet the Beatles. We discuss the Beatles' perspective on music, Smokey Robinson's influence on the Beatles, and the best songs from the British Invasion. 

 

If you were looking for a podcast episode full of hero worship, it's not this puppy. But next week will be a new wave when we become the best podcast about the B-52s and their debut self-titled album.
